Are you getting enough sleep, but still feel as though you look tired and fatigued? Are you frustrated by the appearance of sagging skin around your eyes, and want a solution that’s going to help you look more refreshed and rejuvenated?

Then you might be an excellent candidate for an Eyebrow and/or an Eyelid Lift. Both procedures are aimed at correcting sagging skin that comes with the aging process. Both procedures have helped patients look more well-rested and refreshed, as well as turned back the clock on their appearance.

But when it comes down to it, which procedure is right for you – an Eyelid and/or an Eyebrow Lift?

Let’s take a look at the differences between the two procedures, as well as how to tell which one you might be a candidate for:

Eyebrow Lift: An Eyebrow Lift is a surgical procedure that’s meant to subtly lift drooping eyebrows. Many patients notice eyebrow drooping once it becomes difficult to apply eyeshadow, as eyelid skin disappears behind the sagging skin. An Eyebrow Lift gently pulls sagging eyebrow naturally taut, which helps correct sagging around the eyes while addressing unconscious forehead use and therefore forehead wrinkles. The goal is to restore the normal position of the eyebrow, not overly elevate them creating an unnatural look.

You may be an excellent candidate for an Eyebrow Lift if you have noticeable forehead wrinkles, are having difficulty putting on eye makeup, and look constantly fatigued from using your forehead muscles to the lift the eyebrows all day long.

Eyelid Lift: Unlike the Eyebrow Lift, the Eyelid Lift directly addresses sagging eyelid skin, as well as heaviness that creates excessive fullness around the upper eyes. One way to tell if you need an Eyelid Lift is to ask yourself a few simple questions. Do you look tired even though you aren’t? Are there lower lid bulges and bags where there shouldn’t be? Do you feel discomfort from extra heaviness in the upper lid, or feel skin sitting on your eyelashes? These are all signs it may be time for an eyelid lift.

An Eyelid Lift is performed by a plastic surgeon. Small incisions are made along the natural creases of the upper eyelid, which allows the plastic surgeon to access and remove excess skin and fat. The end result is a brighter, youthful, and more refreshed appearance.

Sometimes both an Eyelid and Eyebrow Lift may be needed to fully rejuvenate the area around your eyes and forehead, and we are happy to help determine what best fits your needs and goals.
