erlane is a soft tissue filler that is used to smooth the appearance of wrinkles and creases on the face. It is manufactured by the same company that makes Restylane but is considered more suitable for severe facial wrinkles. Perlane plumps the underlying cells to restore fullness on the surface of the skin.
Erase nasolabial folds with Perlane
Perlane is natural and versatile and is used to correct nasolabial folds, and add volume to the midface region.
Like Restylane, Perlane is derived from hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a compound that occurs naturally in the body’s connective tissue. However, time and environmental factors deplete HA, contributing to the formation of creases and wrinkles.
Since Perlane is derived from HA, it is quite safe and effective, and also less likely to cause an allergic reaction when applied. Perlane has a larger particle structure than Restylane, making it more suitable for severe folds and creases that need a deeper injection to create lift and volume.
Perlane injections are administered using a very fine needle, and a single session lasts for approximately 30 minutes. A topical anesthetic is available but may not be needed, as Perlane is formulated with lidocaine, which is an anesthetic and therefore enhances comfort.
There is zero downtime after the procedure, so you can resume work immediately after treatment. Side-effects are minor and include redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site. This usually clears within 2 to 3 days.
The results from Perlane are usually apparent right away. It lifts skin tissue, gets rid of wrinkles, and restores volume, creating an overall more youthful appearance. Perlane also stimulates collagen production, and this helps to improve the elasticity and firmness of the skin over time.
